In Tune with Each Other

Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ - the Message - have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives - words, actions, whatever - be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God every step of the way.

Colossians 3: 15-17

As I’ve read over the comments left the last few days, my heart has been blessed beyond measure. Here I share my journey with you, and so many of us are experiencing the same things. I know that’s not by accident. God is moving mightily among His people, keeping us in tune with each other, in step with each other.

Does this amaze you, like it does me? We serve such an awesome, amazing, and beautiful God!

Then, as I was doing today’s Bible study, Beth Moore reminded us to keep God’s word alive and active in us - the more we take in, absorb, meditate, memorize the Word, the more able we are to pour it out when He wants us to use it to help someone. So today, let the Word of God have run of your home, of your heart, and of your mind.

And sing, sing your hearts out to God. What song is on your heart today?

    Thanks so much for all of your replies - I love getting acquainted and your comments are full of encouragement!

    @ Amanda C - Yes, I did use The Message for this post. I usually keep two Bibles at my fingertips when I write - The Message and the NIV. I use others like the NASB, and one I think is called the New Century version, but I like these two the best for right now.

    The song running through my head right now is -

    Arise. Take Your place. Be enthroned on our praise.
    Arise, King of kings, holy one…as we sing.
    Arise!

    How we need God to arise now, in our lives, in our families, in our nation. May He be enthroned in our hearts and in the hearts of those we meet.
